How the structure of a traffic light works

In the beginning it consisted of two gas lanterns, in green and red, in principle it worked very well.  At night the colors did not have the same sense, green meant to be careful and red to stop, because of that soon the system no longer worked, the rate of accidents began to rise, so soon was thought of another means of signaling, which consisted of three lights connected to electrical controls and cables, this last creation gave rise to the system we know today, which, as a consequence of the passing of decades and with the advancement of technology, works in a much simpler and modern way, since they are controlled by computers connected to cameras and sensors, which indicate the flow of cars and people, thus making the system intelligent enough to make the signal open and close at the right time, and depending on the situations the signal is longer open or longer closed and vice versa.

Its structure is composed of three circles called "cookies", which are basically composed of LEDsfront lenses, set insulation, printed circuit board or any other mounting configuration, secondary optics, power supply and electronics, module housing, moisture seal and finally cables with connectors.
